Problem One: dishwasher float switch
The dishwasher float switch monitors the level of water as it rises within your dishwasher during its cycle. If this float gets blocked, it can cause your dishwasher to simply not work, making you think that there is something seriously wrong with the appliance. This is because the float has been pushed up to its maximum height so it thinks that the correct amount of water is already in the dishwasher and, so it will prevent the dishwasher from turning on. All you have to do is take everything out of the lower part of your dishwasher and check for any utensils or other items that could be blocking the float.
Problem Two: ice maker mold
As your refrigerator ages, so too does your ice maker mold. If you notice that there are small black things in your ice cubes, then it is probably your ice maker mold. This is when it is time to call an appliance service & repair technician because you will need to replace the entire icemaker unit in order to solve the issue.
Problem Three: safety coils/gas coils on gas dryers
Gas dryers rely on a safety coil, also called a gas coil, to operate safely. When the coil stops working, the gas cannot reach the igniter, resulting in cooler air inside the dryer. Usually this occurs after the dryer has already been working for about 15 to 20 min. The good thing about this problem is that it is a relatively inexpensive issue to fix, but if you are not familiar with working on gas fueled appliances, you should have this service performed by an appliance service & repair technician.
